The need to support the operation in the areas of maintenance, improvement and sustainability of the SAP environment and more than nine specialized systems in several technologies have led Santa Cruz, a distributor active in 91% of the national pharmaceutical market and the main supplier of medicines in cities where there is only one pharmacy, to opt for a partnership in AMS with Meta. In a nearshore/offshore service model with management by indicators with SLA and flexibility to absorb the seasonality of demands, Meta adopted different practices for the evolution of the knowledge base, besides guaranteeing a stable environment for the client.
In addition to AMS and the implementation of a Software Factory with a strong focus on logistics and inventories, Meta was responsible for the rollout of the Santa Cruz template in SAP WM for the new distribution center in Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina, considering the suitability of the template to the physical and process particularities of that space. The previously defined interfaces for communication and integration between SAP and an automation system used by Santa Cruz, Knapp, were developed, streamlining the distribution and delivery process with the connection between order issuance and product separation matrices.
Being fully automated and 100% integrated into the SAP management system, Santa Cruz now has considerable productivity gains in the areas of operation, logistics and distribution, delivering the medicines, hygiene products and cosmetics produced by the industries faster. In addition, the reduction of costs by around 30% and inversion of the pyramid of treatment of incidents and improvements, besides the generation of greater stability of the environment with fewer critical problems, focusing on the planning of improvements and ensuring agility in the implementation of new technologies, according to the needs of the company.
